    The surveying and mapping is important technical measures to support the construction of digital city. This paper introduced the main technical methods of the city surveying and mapping and pointed out the requirements of the digital city construction for surveying and mapping. The author also discussed the existing problems in the construction of digital city and put forward corresponding countermeasures and sug- gestions.
