The computer PC+Programmable Logic Controller PLC mode is used to design the clothing cutting machine control system, in which the PLC is the core of motion control, the PC is used to set layout and cutting parameters. The selection and construction of the control system are described, including the core controller PLC, servo motors and other devices. Considering the large amount of data contained in cut pieces and high required cutting speed, the NJ501 PLC is selected as the controller. The data processing procedures of PC are developed by Visual C++6.0. The real-time data transmission between upper & lower machines is directly via TCP/IP. After com-pleting the system’s hardware setup, software programming, and debugging, the desired effect of the control scheme is proved by actual tests.
