细胞因子风暴（cytokine storm）在肝衰竭发病机制中起十分重要的作用，与肝衰竭过程中的肝细胞坏死和疾病临床预后密切相关。介绍了以 Kupffer 细胞为线索，肝衰竭发生、发展过程中各相关细胞及细胞因子相互影响、共同作用，导致肝组织严重损伤和坏死的机制。指出细胞因子的研究，将有助于肝衰竭早期诊断、病情分析和个体化治疗水平的提高。
