Lily is one of the important cut flowers, and the long-term asexual reproduction caused the virus accumulate largely in them. An introduction is made on the common viruses of lily and a detailed description is made on the processing methods to eradicate the virus, such as heat treatment, virus-free shoot tip tissue culture, chemical treatment, and vitrification cryopreservation treatment. The advances in the study of the virus detection technology are also presented.
