中国清代文学作品《沙弥思老虎》和意大利文艺复兴时期的作品《腓力与绿鹅》产生的时代相去甚远，但内容和思想内涵却极为相似，即都极力反对封建社会所提倡的禁欲主义。这与两部作品产生的相似的时代背景密切相关，也一定程度上体现了文学创作活动共有的通律。“老虎”和“绿鹅”的称谓反映出中西封建社会中的妇女均受人歧视，社会地位低下，但两者内涵的差异却隐晦地反映出中西封建社会中妇女地位的差异。
