The stress wave propagation velocities of standing timber, log and board of Mongolian Scotch pine is detected, with the result showing that the stress wave propagation velocities of standing timber and log are very close and the stress wave propagation velocities of log sections and board of Mongolian Scotch pine show great correlation,with a correlation factor of R2=0.6. Therefore, the stress wave propagation velocity of board made of log can be forecast based on the stress wave propagation velocity of living timer.
