Lumbar disc herniation is the clinical common and frequently occurring disease, acupuncture treatment has exact effect, but its mechanism is not completely clear. This paper systemizes literature of functional mechanism of acupuncture treating lumbar disc herniation in recent ten years, and summarizes the possible mechanism of lumbar disc herniation treated with acupuncture, providing a theoretical basis for acupuncture treating lumbar disc herniation.
