防御素是一类广泛存在于动植物体内的、富含精氨酸残基的阳离子多肽。根据分子内二硫键的排列和分子结构特点，防御素可分为α-防御素，β-防御素和θ-防御素。β-防御素具有抗细菌、真菌、螺旋体和部分带囊膜病毒及免疫趋化作用等多功能效应，是人体天然免疫系统（Inner immunity system）的重要组成部分，在获得性免疫系统（Adaptive immunity system）中也发挥着重要作用，与某些炎症性疾病和肿瘤的发生发展有密切关系。近年来发现β-防御素-1在泌尿系肿瘤中呈现低表达状态，并被认为具有抗肿瘤活性。本文将回顾近年来关于β-防御素在泌尿系肿瘤中的研究，并探讨其在泌尿系肿瘤治疗中的作用。

Defensin, which is rich in arginine residues and widely found in animals and plants, is a kind of cationic polypeptide. According to the ar-rangement of disulfide linkage in molecule and molecular structure, Defensins can be divided intoα-defensin,β-defensin andθ-defensin.β-defensin, which is the important part of inner immunity system, has multi-functional effect on resisting bacteria, fungus, spirochaeta and part of belt enveloped virus, and immunity chemotaxis, it also plays an important role in adaptive immunity system, and is closely related to the occurrence and develop-ment of some kinds of inflammatory diseases and cancer. In recent years,β-defensin which is low expressed in urologic neoplasms is considered to be provided with antineoplasmic activity. This article would review the researches in recent years aboutβ-defensin in urologic neoplasms, and investi-gate its therapeutic role in urologic neoplasms.
