北宋一朝，始终处于辽、金、西夏三个少数民族政权鼎足而立的政治格局中，而与西夏间的冲突是边患的主要矛盾。宋代内忧外患的政治环境激发士人积极进取、革新政治的精神，与之相应的文化心态也发生变化，表现为以道自任精神的复活，人格精神的重新确立，这对整个宋代的士风、学术建构、文学创作起着举足轻重的作用。文章以宋夏战争作为研究媒介，探讨宋夏战争对北宋士人精神的影响。

The Northern Song Dynasty, facing a threatening situation enclosed by Liao, Jin and Xixia, had a main conflict with Xixia. The domestic strife and foreign aggression of the Song Dynasty political environment stimulated the scholars with spirit of positive enterprising and political reform. Meanwhile, the corresponding cultural mentality was changed. The spirit of resurrection and personality spirit re-estab-lishment typically represented the change, which played a decisive role in intellectual ethos, academic construction, literary creation. The paper explores the influence of the Song-xia War on the literati spirit taking the war as a media.
