The topic about homogenization tendency in undergraduate automotive programmes is put forward in the paper. The harmf ulness of the tendency is analyzed. The signiifcance of research is indicated. The path to avoid that problem is offered. Finally, in order to avoid the homogenization tendency, the practice of programme development is introduced brielfy, which is illustrated by vehicle engineering programme in Nan jing Institute of Technology.
