In this paper, the machining principles of double-sided grinding machine for sapphire substrate and its planetary transmission structure are introduced, and the corresponding mathematical analysis for such structure is then made. Mean-while, the theory of grinding disc amendment is briefly introduced, and finally, amendment parameters for four kinds of differ-ent grinding disc shape are given.
