This article combines the methods of quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis to discuss the present situation a-bout urbanization development in Hugang city. The challenges for higher vocational education by urbanization as well as the meas-ures facing the urbanization construction provide further theory and practice for reforming and developing higher vocational education in Hugang city, prompting the adaption of the development of higher vocational colleges to the urbanization construction. Research on higher vocational education supplies an efficient method for the urbanization construction in Hugang city.
