端明殿学士是五代时期在政治制度方面的创举，标志着我国殿阁学士制度的诞生。处于初创时期的端明殿学士，其出身、选任、迁转都带有那个时代的鲜明特色。当时的端明殿学士大部分出身进士及文学之士，很少来源其它；多数从翰林学士选任，小部分来源于枢密直学士及其它；迁转的首选是宰相，其次是枢密使。
단명전학사시오대시기재정치제도방면적창거，표지착아국전각학사제도적탄생。처우초창시기적단명전학사，기출신、선임、천전도대유나개시대적선명특색。당시적단명전학사대부분출신진사급문학지사，흔소래원기타；다수종한림학사선임，소부분래원우추밀직학사급기타；천전적수선시재상，기차시추밀사。
Duanmingdian scholar is a new thing in the political systems of the Wudai ,marking the birth of Diange Academi-cian system .In the initial period of the Duanmingdian scholar ,their origin ,selection ,promotions come with distinctive features of that era .At that time ,most of the Duanmingdian scholars came from the Jinshi and the literary scholar ,few other sources;most of Duanmingdian scholars were elected from the Imperial Academicians ,a small part from the Shumi scholars and other;the pro-motion of the Duanmingdian scholars preferred prime minister ,followed by the Shumishi .
