A review was made on the major achievements made by Guangxi Water and Power Design Institute (GW-PDI) since it was re-established 30 years ago. Based on analysis of the existing problem, the author looks into the fu-ture of GWPDI in respects of accelerating reform, strengthening scientific and technical innovation, paying attention to cultivation of excellent talents etc.
