使君子氨酸是传统杀虫中药使君子种子中的有效成分。使君子中的主要成分使君子酸(QA)作为一种兴奋性氨基酸。QA对中枢神经系统功能有着广泛的影响,广泛应用于脑神经科学研究中。本文综述了使君子氨酸的合成、提取工艺等方面的研究进展。

L-quisqualic acid(QA), (L)-(+)-α-Amino-3,5-dioxo-1,2,4-oxadiazolidine -2- propanoic acid, is known from Quisqualis indica Linnaeus(Combutaceae), the seeds of which are ground to form the traditional Chinese drug Shih-chun-tze for treating ascarisis (Ranger, et al. 2011). L-QUIS also has been demonstrated to be an exceptional y potent agonist of excitatory amino acid receptors, because it is thought to mimic L-glutamic acid, an amino acid that functions as a neurotransmitter in the insect neuromuscular junction and mammalian central nervous system. As a result, L-QUIS is widely used used in field of neuroscience to selectively destroy neurons in the brain or spinal cord.This paper reviewed the synthesis and extraction processes.
