Taking the Sichuan Tourism Development Conference as the research object , this paper stud-ies the theme and content of the Conference , and its influences of the Conference upon the host city , Sichuan province and China. The Conference pioneered a new type of tourism development model , and de-veloped local economy and new tourism products. Due to the holding of this Conference , the infrastructure construction, city construction, tourism related infrastructure construction and ecological environment con-struction are perfected, Sichuan tourism market order being rectified, the tourism services being improved, and the condition of the backward remote areas is changed. By carrying forward the excellent culture , publi-cizing Sichuan tourism and attracting world tourists , Sichuan Tourism Development Conference plays a lead-ing role in boosting tourism for other provinces in China.
