Biomass liquefaction was one of the hotspot on today's biomass energy research. Three kinds of solid acid catalysts applied in biomass liquefaction in details were reviewed, and the research development of solid acid catalysts in bio-oil upgrading was shortly introduced. The development foreground of solid acid catalyst applying in the biomass liquefaction and bio-oil upgrading was prospected.
