Dye-fixing agent was a vital additive to improve the color fastness of dyed yarn, which had important effect of its performances of dye-fixing and friendly to environment influence on the quality of fabric. From the research progress of dye-fixing agent, the formaldehyde free and waterborne polyurethane fixing agents were discussed mainly. Their properties and advantages were compared. The result showed that the environment-friendly dye-fixing agent had wide applications and bright future in textile industry.
