The study progresses in the research of polypropylene random copolymer (PP–R) pipes and the dedicated materials were studied. The research and development status of PP–R pipes were mainly focused on two aspects of processing technology and modification method. The main problems in PP–R pipe research and development progress were simply analyzed,then the research and exploit directions of PP–R pipes and the dedicated materials in the next few years were put forward.
