由于TRIZ理论在国际社会创新领域做出的重大贡献，我国正在加大TRIZ在各行业的推广应用。通过对发明创造原理TRIZ的起源、组成、应用方法和应用成果进行全面介绍，并结合烟草包装机械设备实际应用的改进成果，将TRIZ理论引入到香烟包装设备改进中。通过与传统香烟包装设备改造方法相比，得出采用TRIZ理论引导的香烟包装设备改造方法能够提高设备改造效率和实用性。
