Subway integrated monitor system, like the central nervous system of brain, enables information sharing, business association, and events linkage. Normally, integrated monitoring software is developed by software development companies. However, during plant supervision stage, software problems are discovered and subsequent modifications and tests of the software are required. In Beijing Subway Line 9 Project, plant engineering consultants are, for the first time, invited to participate in integrated monitoring software development stage. Plant engineering consultants participated in software design documentation, quality plan document review, and process control of software R&D. This practice signiifcantly reduced onsite workload and enhanced implementation rate..
