With continuous advancement of unattended or less man attended substation and power distribution automation,the auxiliary subsystem how to realize remote supervisory control with low cost becomes increasingly urgent problem. Through introducing ZigBee wirless protocol and its configuration pattern,describes remote control relay module hardware and software with the core of Internet of things ZigBee protocol,expounds the structure of the system and work principle,makes explanation on system hardware circuit and software design,and introduces the typical application of the module in substation lighting control and dispelling moisture loop. The application result shows sthat the module has the advantage of low cost,low loss and easy arrangement,which widely adapts current equipment improvement and upgrade for substation.
