在基于GIS技术的荒山整治研究方法的基础上，结合黄土高原某城市总体规划，针对某荒山整治工程，采用GIS技术对荒山整治的范围、挖填方案及整治后建设用地适宜性等进行了分析评价，取得了较好的效果。

A brief introduction was presented of a GIS-based methodology for reclamation of loess barren hills firstly, and then a pilot project of reclaming loess barren hills for the purpose of urban planning was carried out to demonstrate how to delimit the extent of reclamation of loess barren hills, design a plan of excavation and fill, and evaluate the suitability for urban construction after reclamation, indicating that a reasonable result can be obtained using GIS.
