Key design information of a T-beam bridge strengthened with prestressed CFRP plates was intro-duced .The limit equilibrium states were analyzed and tools of finite element were applied to reinforcement cal-culation of the ultimate bearing capacity .According to bridge damage conditions and the evaluation scale in codes, the partial inspection safety factors were introduced to the solvers .In addition, construction methods and main points were introduced .The effectiveness of reinforcing design and construction method was verified by engineering practice .It is showed that reinforcement construction is simple and convenient .There is little traffic influence and the cost is low .It can be used as a reference project in the similar bridge reinforcement design and construction with prestressed CFRP plates .
