PU synthetic leather possesses soft handle, good waterproof and moisture permeability, and freez-ing resistance, without the disadvantage of PVC such as cold-hard and hot-sticky. It has become the best al-ternative of natural leather. In this paper, the development status and trend of waterborne polyurethane used for making synthetic leather were reviewed.
