家庭暴力严重威胁着社会的和谐、家庭的稳定和妇女儿童的身心健康，对家庭暴力的干预需要众多组织和机构从改变社会认知、提倡社会性别主流化、建立女性支持网络、立法及舆论倡导等多方面联合介入，做到多机构之间有效对接、及时转介、联合干预，形成一个救济渠道通畅、防治并举的受暴女性支持网络。社会工作凭借其价值观念和专业手法可以作为家庭暴力干预的核心，推动和协调多机构联合干预家庭暴力。
