The blow-out of water-cooled wall tube of plant boiler due to thinning may affect the safe operation of the boiler. The remote field eddy current testing technique may be used to detect the defects. The theory and procedure of remote ifeld eddy current testing technique were presented. High-performance eddy current inspection system was used to test the water-cooled wall tube, and good results were achieved.
