Steel for resistance to hydrogen-induced cracking was widely used for pressure vessels running in wet H2S environment. Specific supervision and inspection advice is given to the probable failure mode in the condition. They cover the following supervising points:reasonableness of structural design and technical requirements of the drawings, conformance and feasibility of the manufacture process, material's mechanical and corrosion resisting property, structural continuity, stress concentration, the control and inspection of weld defects in working process, the process of post-weld heat treatment and the veriifcation of the results.
