党的十八大报告明确指出，要“把立德树人作为教育的根本任务”。要落实立德树人的根本任务，需要我们辨明立德树人的内涵，准确把握立德树人的基本含义。立德树人这一概念内涵丰富。传统文化，尤其是儒家的思想，为我们理解立德的内涵提供了基本的框架，中国特色社会主义规定了立德的性质和方向，时代的发展则为立德提供了新的内容。体现了这三方面要求的立德，其含义也就是要培养具有坚定的理想信念、正确的价值取向、良好的道德品质，遵守基本的道德规范的社会主义的接班人和建设者。

The report at 18th CCP Congress said:“take fostering integrity and promoting rounded development of people as the fundamental task of education”. In order to implement this task, we should make clear what fostering integrity means. The meaning of fostering integrity is complicated. Chinese traditional culture, especially Confucianism provided a basis meaning for it, socialism with Chinese characteristics provided its property and direction, and epoch provided some new con-tents for it. In short, fostering integrity means training participants of and successors to the socialist causes who develop moral-ly, intellectually, physically and aesthetically, and has corroborate ideal and belief, right value orientation, good moral character and subscribe to the code of morality.
