海保青陵是江户后期的著名思想家，在日本经济思想史上占据重要的地位。他主张发展经济，被视为日本近代重商主义经济思想的先驱。同时他鼓励武士经商和肯定营利合理性等一些主张在很大程度上突破了德川封建儒学的传统教义，被视为极具特殊性的思想家，也正是这种特殊性，恰好准确地反应了时代的趋势和其思想的重要价值。

Kaiho Seiryo is a famous ideologist in later period of Edo, and he occupies an important position in the history of Japanese Economic thoughts. He advocated economic development, and for that, he is regarded as the forerunner of modern Japanese mercantilist economic thought. At the same time, his proposals such as encouraging the samurai to deal with business and affirming the rationality of seeking profits breached the feudal and traditional Confucianism doctrine of Tokugawa, there-fore, he is regarded as a highly distinctive thinker. Right because of this specificity, it accurately reflects the trend of the times and the important value of his thought.
