The technical specifications, structure principle and performance level of domestic Model DLF magnetic powder clutch were introduced and analyzed, showing that domestic DLF magnetic powder clutches have similar technical performance to Japan’s OPC counterpart. Comparision with electromagnetic clutch, eddy-current clutch demonstrates unique advantages of magnetic particle clutch. Finally, it is pointed out that magnetic powder has problem of wear and aging, which needs to be improved in the development and applications of magnetic powder clutches.
