The establishment of Yunyang Province in Chenghua Period of Ming Dynasty provided the province station Shiyan with unprecedented opportunity for development. The well construction as public facilities flourished with remarkable results. The transpor-tation conditions of the Han River waterway had improved significantly. On one hand, the water conservancy progress made a significant contribution to the economic and social development in Shiyan and the improvement of the regional status. On the other hand, the water conservancy progress had a profound impact on regional culture in Shiyan.
