In view of model selection in the fuel-handling machine in auxiliary nuclear power plant,detailed analysis and comparison is performed for the current gantry fuel pool bridge in AP1000 and improved bridge-type machine solution in aspects of process requirements,structural strength,operation safety,and feasibility,etc.Through comparison,it’ s con-cluded that the bridge-type fuel-handling machine is better that gantry type,which can provide basis for selection of succes-sive fuel handling schemes in national projects.
