The application of Siemens S7-400H in polypropylene granulation unit is introduced. The hardware configuration of control system, the implementing methods of typical control functions and the first cause of the malfunction flashing alarm system are included in introduction. The pin assignment of FB41 function block, the causes of unstable cylinder pressure of granulation unit and continuously starting up of the mixer motor are researched and analyzed. The problems of unstable control of process parameters and continuously start up of mixer motor are resolved. The operation situation of the equipment shows that Siemens PLC satisfies the requirements of the control system.
