JGJ 203 - 2010 Technical Code for Application of Solar Photovoltaic System of Civil Buildings has been developed to promote the application of solar photovoltaic system in civil buildings, facilitate the combination of photovoltaic system and buildings, and standardize the design, installation and acceptance of solar photovoltaic system. The paper introduces the background and principles of the preparation of JGJ 203-2010, and offers guidance for the building industry on the active, correct and reasonable construction of photovoltaic buildings by means of interpreting the key articles in the code.
