The characteristics of nano ordered mesoporous materials and its synthesis mechanism were introduced, and the application of mesoporous materials in synthesis of lithium ion battery cathode materials was also stated emphatical y. It was proposed that nano mesoporous materials played an unique important role in control ing the cathode materials morphology and size, and also in improving of their overal performance. The present application problems were summarized, and the further development trend in this field were also prospected.
