根据民族高校的人才培养目标定位、高校辅导员的角色定位以及当前社会对人才的需求，结合自身所从事的辅导员工作经历，认为在民族高校做好思想政治辅导员工作，需强化五种意识：大局意识、学习意识、服务意识、创新意识和责任意识，以便更好地服务于学生和社会。

According to the objective orientation of talent cultivation in colleges and universities for nationalities, college counselors’roles, the current social demand for talent, and the work experience, the author thinks that college counselors who want to do a good job in colleges and universities for nationalities must strengthen the five awareness: the general situation consciousness, the learning consciousness, the service consciousness, the innovative consciousness and the responsibility consciousness, so that they can provide better service to the students and the society.
