数学是一门古老学科，与人类生活密切相关，数学与应用数学作为一门新型学科，近年来在一些专业领域都有发展和突破，也存在着一些不利因素制约学科发展。本文主要是对数学与应用数学专业在发展过程中，面对的挑战和机遇，对人才培养、学科建设、理论发展等方面做一个简单概括和总结，以期对其进一步的发展起到借鉴作用。
數學是一門古老學科，與人類生活密切相關，數學與應用數學作為一門新型學科，近年來在一些專業領域都有髮展和突破，也存在著一些不利因素製約學科髮展。本文主要是對數學與應用數學專業在髮展過程中，麵對的挑戰和機遇，對人纔培養、學科建設、理論髮展等方麵做一箇簡單概括和總結，以期對其進一步的髮展起到藉鑒作用。

Mathematics is an ancient discipline, closely related to human life, mathematics and applied mathematics as a new discipline in recent years, both in the number of professional development and breakthroughs in the field, there are also negative factors restricting academic development. This article is for mathematics and applied mathematics in the develop-ment process, challenges and opportunities facing on personnel training, discipline construction, theory development, and so do a simple summary and conclusion, play a reference to its further development.
