This paper introduces the basic concept of hydropower plant condition-based maintenance.And combining with the data mining technology,here we do some research work of application in condition-based maintenancesystem.It focuses on the application of data mining technology including feature extraction,state identification,diagnosis and decision inequipment condi-tion monitoring and fault diagnosis in related areas.It is so important to clarify the data mining technology inhydropower equip-ment condition monitoring and fault diagnosis field,and also practical applicationsignificance.
