The Name is a unique phenomenon in human society .The names in novels have more cultural connotations .They reflect the characters'personality and fate in novels .So the study of the cultural connotation in names of English novels and the accurate translation of these names not only have important significance to literary translation ,but also play a vital role in the cultural exchange betw een China and the West .
