    The hydro-generator fault diagnosis system includes many aspects.This paper discusses two kinds of analysis methods which are fault diagnosis expert system and fault tree.This paper introduces the principle and framework of the fault diagnosis expert system and fault tree,the designing and realization of the two kinds of methods and also the application example is given in this paper.
