    Through analyzing the characteristics of the animal science discipline as well as the current situation of the theoreti-cal teaching of animal science, aiming at stimulating students' in-terest in learning, related reform measures are discussed from several aspects,such as teacher-student relationship, teaching method, teaching content and evaluation system, etc.
