The technical demand of SCM822H steel for the gear of drive axle of heavy vehicle is introduced. The steel is developed in Shi Steel with process of primary smelting with converter, refining with LF+VD, continuous casting and continuous rolling, slow cooling.Besides with narrow composition control it meets the requirement of customers for narrow band of hardenability and the quality of steel all reaches the demand of standard.
