An open-phase operation accident in Shuibuya hydropower station is studied , which occurred in the circuit breaker in high voltage side of the transformer when the No .3 generator unit stepped out .Changes of the three-phase current in the generator is analyzed with symmetrical component method .Precautions , fault diagnose and treatment measures are proposed .
