福建漳州地区高岭土由管状、片状高岭石族矿物组成,-45μm产品结晶度好、纯度较高;但Fe2O3和有机质是其主要染色杂质,采用现有的保险粉还原工艺很难达到理想的漂白效果。本实验系统地研究了传统保险粉和新型二氧化硫脲两种还原剂在不同工艺条件下的除铁增白效果。研究结果表明,二氧化硫脲漂白效果要明显优于传统保险粉,其最佳工艺条件为:65℃、初始pH值10左右、二氧化硫脲的添加量2%、反应时间40 min,最终高岭土产品Fe2O3含量为0.42%、白度为85.7%。

Kaolin from Zhangzhou, Fujian province, is composed of tubular and acicular kaolinite-group minerals. The -325 mesh product shows excellent crystallinity and high purity. However, the content of Fe2O3 or organic matter is very high. The improvement of whiteness is hardly realized by available reductive bleaching process. Here, An new bleaching technology with thiourea dioxide as reducing agent, was developed as compared with sodium hydrosulifte at different conditions. The results showed that the new bleaching technology is better than that with sodium hydrosulifte. Furthermore, its optimum condition is 65℃, initial pH value about 10, dosage of 2% and 40 min. The Fe2O3 content and brightness of ifnal kaolin product is 0.42% and 85.7%.
