The purpose of sci-tech novelty work and the necessity,characteristics and retrieval skills of novelty retrieval in traffic industry are discussed in the paper.Based on the practical experience of traffic sci-tech novelty work,the traffic science and technology projects novelty retrieval system are developed.The development background,technical route,function module of the system etc.are also introduced.Through the application of the system,the efficiency of novelty retrieval work and the management level are greatly improved,which reduces low level repetition of the project and improves accuracy of technology assessment.
