Corrosion is the main reason leading to the failure of pipeline. There are four categories and 18 kinds of forms of corrosion. The main factors could lead to failure of pipeline including environmental corrosion, medium corrosion, stray corrosion and the corrosion induced by defects. In this paper, the advice has been put forward according to different corrosion forms.
