Gas protection is designed a non-electricity protection based on the gas and oil flow in the transformer because of fault, which can reflect the internal transformer insulation breakdown, short circuit failures, plays a crucial role in the protection of transformer internal fault. In actual operation process, gas protection because of various reasons will malfunction phenomenon, causing adverse effects on the normal work of the transformer. Based on this, this paper first introduces the transformer gas protection principle, then the gas protection malfunction causes and countermeasures in-depth inquiry.
