二语习得和翻译具有本质上的联系，两者都是跨语言、跨文化的交际活动。第二语言的学习不仅包括对于语言本身的掌握，也包括对二语文化的了解。翻译的过程就是两种语言、文化的对比过程。翻译有助于促进二语习得，是二语学习过程中母语与二语相互作用的中介。通过翻译过程中双语语言文化的对比，学习者能更好地了解两种语言、文化之间的差异，提高二语语言水平，增强跨文化交际能力，从而达到准确、有效地运用外语的目的。因此，翻译在二语习得中的积极作用是不言而喻的。

There is essential connection between second language acquisition and translation as both are cross‐language and cross‐cultural communication .Second language learning includes not only master of the language ,but also knowledge of the culture carried by the language .Translating is a process ofcomparison and contrast between two languages and cultures .Translation helps promote learning of secondlanguage and is a mediation of the interaction between mother tongue and second language .Through the comparison and contrast of the two languages and cultures in translation process ,learners can understand the differ‐ences between the two languages and cultures better and thus improve their linguistic competence ,enhance their ability of cross-cultural communication ,and achieve the goal of using second language accurately and effectively .Therefore ,the positive role of translation in second language acquisition is self -evident .
