运用文献资料法、实地调查法和观察法，对贵州松桃“四面鼓”的社会功能进行提炼和揭示，结果表明：“四面鼓”承载着文化传递、体育锻炼、艺术观赏、娱乐休闲、角色教育和经济促进等社会功能，将其引入大、中、小学的体育和艺术等课堂教学，引进少数民族传统体育运动会和作为全民健身项目进行推广，是推动“四面鼓”发展的有效路径。
운용문헌자료법、실지조사법화관찰법，대귀주송도“사면고”적사회공능진행제련화게시，결과표명：“사면고”승재착문화전체、체육단련、예술관상、오악휴한、각색교육화경제촉진등사회공능，장기인입대、중、소학적체육화예술등과당교학，인진소수민족전통체육운동회화작위전민건신항목진행추엄，시추동“사면고”발전적유효로경。
This article uses methods of literature, field survey and observation to refine and reveal the social functions of the "four-sides drum" . Four-sides drum has these social functions: cultural transmission,physical exercise,art appreciation,recreation,education and economic promotion. By introduce "four-sides drum" into large,medium,sports and the arts school classroom, and traditional Ethnic Minority Sports Council and take it as a fitness program to promote,these are valid measures to promote the "four-sides drum" develop well.
